Can Weight Management Impact Your Child’s Condition?

Childhood can be particularly challenging for kids and teens that struggle with their weight while living their young lives with Type 2 Diabetes. It makes growing up more difficult and puts their health at greater risk. That’s why the medical community is working extremely hard to uncover new improved treatments for children help children under 18 better manage their Diabetes.

Our Study

A research study is underway in San Antonio of an investigational for Pediatric Type 2 Diabetes that may also assist your child with the management of their weight, in the hopes that a combination of improved diet, exercise and glucose management will better treat their condition.

Participation Requirements

  • Your child must have an existing diagnosis of Type 2 diabetes
  • Your child must be between the ages of 10 and 17
  • Your child must currently be taking basal (long-acting insulin), metformin or both

Participants May Receive:

  • Access to a pediatric Type 2 Diabetes investigational medication
  • Care and support from our doctors and healthcare team
  • Possible compensation for time and travel
