Many children deal with the unique challenges of plaque psoriasis. There is no cure and researchers are focused more than ever on trying to find ways to address those challenges. Austin Institute for Clinical Research in Metairie is looking for adolescents aged 12-17 with psoriasis on at least 10% of their body to participate in a research study evaluating potential treatment for psoriasis.
To estimate how much of your child’s body has psoriasis, 1% of their body is approximately the size of the palm of their hand. So, if you think they have about 10 “palm prints” of psoriasis on their body, they may qualify.
