FOR PARTICIPANTS AGED 2 AND OLDER

Clinical Research Study Evaluating an Investigational Ointment for Eczema

Eczema — also known as atopic dermatitis — is a condition that makes the skin red and itchy. Eczema can have a serious impact on you or your child’s life, especially when nothing seems to help. There is no cure for eczema, but researchers are focused more than ever on trying to find ways to treat it.

Dr. Theresa G. Knoepp at Palmetto Clinical Trial Services in Anderson is enrolling adult and child volunteers aged 2 and older who have mild to moderate eczema.

You or your child may qualify if eczema affects at least 3% of the body (not including the scalp). To estimate how much of the body has eczema, 1% of the body is approximately the size of your or your child’s hand, excluding the thumb. So, if you think there are at least 3 ‘hand prints’ of eczema, you or your child may qualify.

Participants Receive:

  • Study-related medical care at no cost
  • Study-related medications at no cost
  • Participants will receive compensation for time and travel of $75 for each completed study visit for a total of up to 15 study visits. If all study visits are completed, participants will receive a total of $1,125
