CONTRACEPTION RESEARCH
Expanding Contraception Choices for All Women

It is important to keep expanding contraception choices for women of all body types. The OG-8175A-023 Study is looking at an investigational combined oral contraceptive (COC) to see if it works to prevent pregnancy and is safe. The study is underway locally in Bell Gardens and Canoga Park.

You may be eligible, if you:

  • are 35 years of age or younger
  • are having vaginal sexual intercourse with a male partner at least once a month
  • do not wish to become pregnant within the next year.

The study will last for up to 14 months and will require at least 7 visits to our study center. Your health will be monitored carefully by a team of doctors and nurses throughout the study. The COC in this study is referred to as “investigational.” It has not yet been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for use in the United States. However, it has already been approved as birth control in more than 50 other countries.

Participants receive:

  • Study-related medical care at no cost
  • Study-related medications at no cost
  • Compensation up to $700
