FIBROMYALGIA
RESEARCH STUDY

Suffering From Fibromyalgia?

Fibromyalgia is a disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory, and mood issues. Researchers believe that fibromyalgia amplifies painful sensations by affecting the way your brain processes pain signals.

Symptoms sometimes begin after a physical trauma, surgery, infection, or significant psychological stress. In other cases, symptoms gradually accumulate over time with no single triggering event.

In general, treatments for fibromyalgia include both medication and self-care. The emphasis is on minimizing symptoms and improving general health. No one treatment works for all symptoms.

If you have fibromyalgia, you may qualify for a research study underway at Altea Research in Las Vegas evaluating an investigational treatment.

You May Qualify if You:

  • Are between 18 and 75 years old
  • Have widespread pain not caused by another disorder
  • Are willing to discontinue current pain medications
  • Are not using THC
  • Have not had a stroke or traumatic brain injury
  • Do not have rheumatoid arthritis or other inflammatory arthritis
  • Do not have an autoimmune disorder
  • Meet additional criteria…

Participants May Receive:

  • Study-related investigational medications at no cost
  • Study-related medical care at no cost
  • Compensation for time and travel
