RESEARCH STUDY
FOR NASH (LIVER DISEASE)

Non-Alcoholic SteatoHepatitis (NASH) is the most severe form of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

The symptoms of NASH are often silent or non-specific to NASH making it difficult to diagnose until the liver is damaged beyond repair. People with diabetes, obesity, high cholesterol, insulin resistance, and/or high blood pressure are more likely to have NASH. NASH is different than other fatty liver diseases that are caused by alcohol abuse or medication side effects.

There are no approved medications to treat NASH, but Cadena Care Research in San Diego is enrolling participants in clinical research for potential medications that could one day become treatments.

People with the common risk factors for NASH are invited to see if they have NASH and qualify to participate.

We Are Looking for Participants Who:

  • Are over 18
  • Have some of the risk factors that could lead to NASH who, then, as part of the study can receive a definitive diagnosis and help evaluate potential treatments

Participants May Receive:

  • Free Liver scan
  • Study-related medical care at no cost
  • Investigational medication from a local physician at no cost
  • Stipend up to $2,750

Find out if you have NASH and qualify to participate.
