DIFFUSE CUTANEOUS SYSTEMIC SCLEROSIS
RESEARCH STUDY

The exact cause of your Diffuse Cutaneous Systemic Sclerosis (dcSSc) in unknown and there is no cure.

For tens of thousands of Americans, living with dcSSc is an ongoing challenge — and the medical community is hard at work to identify and improve treatments to manage the disease.

Metroplex Clinical Research Center in Dallas needs volunteers with dcSSc to participate in a research study evaluating the safety and effectiveness of a potential new oral medication. This research study gives those with this disease a chance to get active in their own healthcare and help be part of a potential step forward in how dcSSc may be treated. 

In order to qualify, you must:

  •  18 to 75 years of age
  •  Have a diagnosis of diffuse cutaneous systemic sclerosis
  •  A disease duration of 3 years or less from the first non-Raynaud’s symptom
  • Skin involvement (above the elbow and/or above the knee)

Participants may receive:

  • Study-related medical care at no cost
  • Study-related medications at no cost
  • Compensation for travel and other expenses may be provided
