FIBROMYALGIA
RESEARCH STUDY

Suffering From Fibromyalgia?

Fibromyalgia is a disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory, and mood issues. Researchers believe that fibromyalgia amplifies painful sensations by affecting the way your brain processes pain signals.

Symptoms sometimes begin after a physical trauma, surgery, infection, or significant psychological stress. In other cases, symptoms gradually accumulate over time with no single triggering event. In general, treatments for fibromyalgia include both medication and self-care. The emphasis is on minimizing symptoms and improving general health. No one treatment works for all symptoms.

Metroplex Clinical Research Center in Dallas is conducting a research study evaluating the effectiveness of an investigational study drug to reduce pain and associated symptoms in patients who have fibromyalgia. The investigational study drug and study procedures are conducted at no charge and your health would be monitored closely.

You May Qualify if You:

  • 18 to 75 years of age
  • Have a diagnosis of fibromyalgia
  • Have had fibromyalgia pain for at least 3 months
  • Willing to discontinue certain medications

Participants May Receive:

  • Study-related investigational medications at no cost
  • Study-related medical care at no cost
  • Reimbursement for time and travel
