LUPUS
RESEARCH STUDY

You can live a beautiful life with lupus.

For more than a million Americans, living with lupus is an ongoing challenge — and the medical community is hard at work to identify and improve treatments to manage the disease.

Our Study

Metroplex Clinical Research Center in Dallas needs volunteers with lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus, SLE) for the ISLAND-SLE Study, which is evaluating the safety and effectiveness of a potential new medication for lupus. This research study gives those with this disease a chance to get active in their own healthcare and help be part of a potential step forward in how it’s treated.

In order to qualify, you must:

  •  Be 18 to 65 years old
  •  Have a diagnosis of SLE for at least 24 weeks
  •  Have active arthritis and/or an active rash

Participants may receive:

  • Study-related medical care at no cost
  • Study-related medications at no cost
  • Compensation for travel and other expenses may be provided
