Whatever you call it, you have had to deal with the painful pea- to marble-sized lumps under the skin that tend to enlarge and drain pus. These bumps usually occur where your skin rubs together such as in the armpits, groin, and buttocks. Researchers are focused more than ever on trying to find ways to treat HS.

Have had HS for at least one year in two different places on your body
Tried antibiotics and they did not work
