Clinical Research Study Evaluating a Potential Medication that May Reduce the Itching Associated with Prurigo Nodularis
Prurigo nodularis (PN) is a skin disease that causes hard, itchy lumps (nodules) to form on the skin. The itching can be intense, causing people to scratch themselves to the point of bleeding or pain. Scratching can cause more skin lesions to appear. Although scratching is known to cause more nodules to appear, it is unclear what causes the itching to develop in the first place.
This clinical research study needs qualified participants in the Anderson area who have severe itching related to PN.
We are Looking for Qualified Participants Who:
- Are aged 18 or older
- Were diagnosed with PN at least 6 months ago
- Have at least 20 PN nodular lesions on the upper limbs, trunk, and/or lower limbs
- Have severe itching
Qualified Participants May Receive:
- Study-related medical care at no cost
- Study-related medications or placebo at no cost
- Reimbursement of up to $700 for time and travel
