USING LANTUS OR BASAGLAR AND MEALTIME INSULIN?

About Type 2 Diabetes

For millions of Americans, living with Type 2 Diabetes is an ongoing challenge – and the medical community is hard at work to identify and improve treatments to manage the disease, including right here in Norman, Oklahoma.

It is from valuable efforts of clinical trial participants that improved treatments for current and future generations might occur.

Our Study

Our research study is evaluating glycemic control in participants with Type 2 Diabetes who are taking mealtime insulin in combination with long-acting insulin glargine (Lantus or Basaglar). Participants will use continuous glucose monitoring (Freestyle Libre 14-day system) during the study.

Participation Requirements

  • You must currently be using long-acting basal insulin glargine, better known as Lantus or Basaglar, in addition to mealtime insulin injections such as Humalog, Novolog or Apidra.

Qualified Participants Will Receive:

  • All study-related care at no cost
  • All study-related investigational medication at no cost
  • Compensation for time may be provided
